About

Who We Are

Founded in 2017 in Seattle, WA, Minority Veterans of America (MVA) is a 501(c)3 nonpartisan, non-profit organization dedicated to creating community belonging and advancing equity for underrepresented veterans including racial and ethnic minority, LGBTQ+, women, and religious and non-religious minority veterans.

We are building an intersectional movement of minority veterans and allies. We advocate equity, respect, and justice for all veterans and deliver culturally-informed programming.

Together, our community is working to change the narrative of the American veteran and create a veteran community where we all belong and have an opportunity to thrive.
